The United States has imposed a recall on a bicycle toy made in China

On Aug 25, 2022, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made riding toys.

The recall is a Blue’s Clues Foot to a Floor riding toy. The product is made of spotted light blue plush fabric with four wheels and handlebars hidden behind the dog’s ears. The model number is 55061 and the date codes are 15221, 15921, 19921, 21021, 22321, 23721, 26821, 28821, or 29421. The date code and model number are located on the label below the body of the product near the sound unit and battery door.

When young children ride, the product may tip forward, posing a risk of falling and injury.

The recalled products were sold in the United States between August 2021 and July 2022, with 28,550 units sold for about $40.

So far, 19 reports have been received of children falling forward while riding the product, 18 of which resulted in facial injuries.

The CPSC recommends that the use of the product should be stopped immediately and kept away from children and that the selling company be contacted for a free kit that contains instructions on how to install a new stop rod on the product.
